What is Feeding the Roots?
While working on the documentary A Place to Stand, we uncovered Jimmy Santiago Baca’s writings from his time in Arizona State Prison, in the Stanford Archives. We transformed them into a workbook to help incarcerated individuals confront dehumanization and rediscover their humanity through writing.
